1) What happens in a 360 Adventure Session?

Group sessions tend to last one and a half - two hours. They contain a range of activities including; Recorded Deilvery (response to teaching from a DVD or CD), Food for Thought (peer encouragement from devotional times), Body Builder's (Fun community building), Bible study and prayer.

2) Who do you need to run The 360 Adventure?

  • A Group Leader and Co-Worker - Trained maturing believers who disciple the group using the resources provided.
  • A Mentor - An older Christian who supports the leader through regular contact, pastoral care and prayer.
  • 3-10 young people - Aged 15-25 who are at a similar stage of Christian growth.
  • A Guide - An experienced advisor (provided by Exodus) who is available to support the church and take feedback on the process.

3) What is in the Starter Pack?

After the leaders and co-workers have been trained, all groups need a starter pack to get going in any course. This contains materials for a leader, co-worker, mentor and 8 group members.

Included are -  2 manuals for UNIT 1 (Sessions 1-8) of that course, 10 logbooks, 10 Food for Thought Journals (to record devotional learning), 10 Prayer Diaries (Except in Ex-plore), CD and or DVD, details of your guide and login details to access additional materials online.

4) What is a UNIT?

Each course has two UNITS of eight sessions. The second UNIT comprises Sessions 9-16 and builds on the learning from UNIT 1.

Having finished UNIT 1 groups can choose to start a new course or to use UNIT 2

5) Who can be trained?

Anyone over 18 who is a committed Christian can be trained as a 360 Adventure Leader. We strongly recommend that leaders:

  • Be passionately pursuing a growing relationship with Jesus.
  • Have a desire to see young people grow in faith.
  • Be committed to praying for young people.
  • Appreciate the value of authority in the church.
  • Show a teachable spirit
  • Model Christ-like attitudes and behaviour in relation to- gossip, encouragement, sexuality, humility etc.

6) What does it Cost?

The cost for training is £15 per person. A starter pack costs £95 (inc VAT) plus p&p with additional leader and group member materials costing extra. Materials are only available to individuals who have been trained.

7) What is the Ministry Placement?

The Ministry Placement brings an outward focus to the discipleship process and allows group members to put into practice what they have been learning and see their faith from a new perspective.

The placements can be carried out as a group, with another group or individually. They can be organised internally or by an agency.
Which ever option you go for we encourage group members to find ministry placements which:

  • Are based around active service.
  • Last for at least 5 days.
  • Encourage participants to work as part of a team (ideally others from their 360 Adventure group).
  • Create space for spiritual development as well as service.
  • Are carried out in the context of a Christian ethos.

Exodus provide options for the ministry placement through their Ex-port course.
