Winter Round-up
Well it's been 3 weeks now without a review, so I must apologise folks we had some important site maintenance to go through but all is now wonderful in the world of exodusonline.
Looking way back to November 29th, we had a Battle of the Sexes Night in the Lounge bar. We had Mario Kart Wii action anda host of other challenges in a fun and competitive night. Rhea Lyttle supplied the acoustic set to go alongside it.
The following Saturday was Exodus Unplugged. Mark Knox and Kris Platt both took to the Lounge stage in what proved a hit night. Mark was the first to play, cheered on by his own travelling fans from Lurgan and enjoyed by the Lounge bar crowd. He was followed by Kris in what was one of the best musical displays we've seen this year, including a couple of songs made up on the spot for two lucky people in the audience. I'm sure we'll see Mark and Kriss again.
Then finally was Saturday past, Stand United. In what was one of the most eagerly anticipated nights of the year Stand United proved a special event. George Gilk and Catherine Donnely, 'Cellivebbage' and Andy Miller put on the continuous worship in Freedom and the worship was very much heartfelt. The prayer room was used well which is a real encouragement and Gareth Black's message was a poignant one and a serious one that I know will have challenged many in attendance. A great night, in which many SU's did indeed Stand United, was concluded with everyone writing their names on one body, a real image of the aim of the night.
This isn't the end of the line for Stand United however, and it is not intended to be a one-off event. One way of keeping together is via the new 'Stay United' forum at www.all4God.co.uk. Also to recieve free text updates of what's coming up text Watch SU to 07983 111222. Set-up will cost just two messages charged at the standard rate.
Coming Up this week is the final Saturday Night of the calender year, which I know you're all devastated by. Christmas theme fancy dress for our Christmas party, taken by Eternity Socials. Fun Starts at 8.45, so you then.
