Launched Out Loud
Last Saturday was the one we've all been waiting for, the Live Out Loud launch night.
The night got underway with Kris Platt, a short dose of Kris due to some technical gremlins but he'd return with a full set later.
The night proper was kicked off by what can only be described as the syncronised bashing of pans and pringles tins, as the leaders made sure their entrance was noticed! This was brought into the crowd, you were divided up into four sections and performed 'Beats Out Loud' live in the lounge. A privilege it was to be present for that performance.
Ben introduced all the leaders officially and explained the process and courses. To read more, click here. After Jose explained the idea behind 'Live Out Loud', the leaders were dispatched to their tables to meet, greet and recruit interested young people.
Kris made his return to the stage with a borrowed telecaster (the lounge gremlins having devoured the circuit board of his amp) and performed a full set, which was greatly appreciated and should be ranked up there in the list of 100 things to do before you...stop doing things. Again, he achieved silence in the lounge bar, and we hope to have him back soon for a particularly special evening.
Teams are now up and running and applications should be in before the last friday of this month to give you the best chance of getting on the team you really want.
This Saturday is a Big Band Night featuring Olivebbage and Article For. 8.45, Exodus in Lisburn, plenty of time to enjoy the amusement of Wipeout and still make it down! See you there.
