Big Band - Big Performance
Saturday 24th January @ Exodus Lisburn saw some familiar faces taking to the stage. Up first in the Lounge we were treated to the musical talents of Olivebbage. This two-piece consists of two members of our Saturday Night hosting team, Lyndsay and Olivia. With lounge acts like Mark Knox, Jonny Gilk (George) and Kris Platt having played recently, the Lounge Stage is becoming a special place. Olivebbage didn't disappoint!
In what had to be their best performance in the venue they thoroughly impressed and are gathering something of a following! One song of note was an edited version of the Jason Mraz song 'I'm Yours', with a special verse for Kirsty on her birthday. Thinking back, Olivebbage debuted in the venue on the last talent night and have gone on to perform now as an act of their own. Saturday 28th March is the next talent night. If you think you can follow in the footsteps of Olivia and Lynds, or would simply like to enter, email philip@exodusonline.org.uk.
The headliners for the evening were Article For, whose frontman Alan Wall is on the sound team at Exodus. They took to thye freedom stage and maintanied the high standard. Highlights include Alan deleting the text (dropping the phone) and the syncronised attempt to reach the unreachable note, in a performance filled with good banter.
This week is the Big Exodus Quiz. We hope to see the return of John and the Hedgehogs and some fresh challengers to take on the reigning Exodus team! Don't worry if you're not coming down as part of a team, we'll get you sorted out. Doors open 8.45pm, see you Saturday.
