It's not the same without a reindeer suit!
Saturday past was the 1st of two Exodus socials to come in this new year. The last one was of course Christmas, when I got to run around in a big reindeer 'onesie' which to be honest, I enjoyed thoroughly! But on this occassion jeans had to do the job.
As always our social friends from Eternity Socials were ably supplemented by a specially selected act for the Lounge. On this occassion, it was four boys from the Antrim area, Walls Need Gates (or 'Rustic Pandas', which Google thought sounded better).
The 4 of them crammed onto the lounge stage, with one left on the steps, and played some great acoustic music. For fans of Mr Jag, you'll enjoy these guys. The sound system unfortunately didn't do these guys justice, but we'll have them back so look froward to that one.
The Social as always was in Freedom, but without the main man this time! However the other Eternity guys deputized well and the night was as always a cracker. Fast paced and energy packed the night seemed to fly right in. As for musical chairs on those stools, absolute carnage!
We had our black-eyed Gated friends (see what I did there?) back up in the lounge, while Match of the Day played on the big screens and revealed, yet again, how immense the United defence is and how ropey Liverpool are these days. Another good night that ended with many tired but happy individuals.
We have our much anticipated Valentines' Formal this week, for which tickets are still available and should be available to buy on the night. We've got in our resident photographer, so don't forget to look sharp! We have some surprises in store, you won't want to miss this one. Til Saturday then folks!
