I went to Romania as part of the Ex-plore team led by Robo and co-led by Zoe. The trip i can honestly say was one of if not the greatest experience of my life so far. The first day or two we spent getting to know the town and for that matter the country we were in..i remember having to change our sterling into Lei on the first day which was fun because the bank machine wasn't really working!

A few days in, we went to an orphanage where we spent hours with the children playing games, singing songs, making crafts and teaching them about God. I can't possibly sum up the three days at the orphanage in a few words because there is just so many amazing events that happened with the kids. They where so lovable with some sad and distressing backgrounds and they gave us back so much more than what we could ever give them.

We also helped in the reconstruction of a church with a lot of painting and sanding going on which was great fun, especially with the ipod blasting out hilarious songs to work to! The second week we went to a small and very poor village where we helped rebuild and paint an old lady's house. Although she tapped her wrist every day when we where late even though we were there to help but we warmed to her in the end!

The whole trip was AMAZING and I can't wait to go back next year to the same place or on another Exodus trip. The worst thing about the trip was leaving.
