My Year with Exodus

My Year with Exodus

Yeo, my names Andrew Ritchie and this year I had the great opportunity of doing an Internship with Exodus.

I'm from a farming background and my last job was as a labourer on a building site, so working with Exodus was on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. (It's amazing how the Lord works). Not only was it a completely different working environment, it was also away from home. I couldn't travel up and down each day so I started to rent in Lisburn. At first I wondered how I was going to support myself but the Lord provided whatever was needed.

The most challenging thing for me this year has been working in an office environment, I'm not used to working indoors or having to use a pc to actually do work on, but I've learnt a lot of new skills which I'm sure will come in handy at some stage later in my life.

One of my highlights of his year has to be getting to know the Security team, it's been great spending time with them and creating a community. I've also loved getting to know a whole new group of people in Lisburn through Exodus and the Bible College.

Doing and Internship has definitely been a step in the right direction for me and I would recommend it to anyone.
