Wrecked and Rebuilt

Wrecked and Rebuilt

My attitude toward poverty was wrecked and rebuilt on team.

The idea of poverty is something which we often think we grasp, but I found that my view on it was far from the truth. While working with Crossroads Foundation in Hong Kong, we had the blessing of joining in to a few of their Life X-Perience simulations.

Our 3D team had the opportunity to briefly slip into the environment which many people today find themselves - working extremely hard for minuscule gain, found in maligned and unfair living conditions, trapped by the undeserved shackles of poverty - survival at its most raw.

With team sessions from Ex-press focusing on Wealth, Giving, the Persecuted Church and Poverty, our team members grew to see that poverty is real, occurring today, and it is not intended to be permanent.

We can't tackle it on our own, but it starts with Jesus in Matthew 25.
