Emerging Leaders Summit 2025
At Exodus, we are committed to raising up the next generation of leaders who will serve, support and stand up for young people.
The Emerging Leaders Summit is a week-long adventure, hosted by Exodus in Romania, that will envision and equip leaders (aged 18-25) with the tools and values of disciple making youth ministry.
Key Elements include:
Training: anchored in the Bible and focused on youth ministry leadership.
Serving: through local childrens, youth, church and family ministry.
Connection: with emerging leaders from within Exodus and other ministry partners.
Adventure: by experiencing the local culture, meeting new people and embracing the surprises and opportunities of the summit.
Exodus Central & Eastern Europe
Exodus Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) work with children, young people and communities across Romania and Hungary.
The first Exodus team travelled to Romania in 1997, and since then thousands of young people and made the journey to serve others, discover a new culture and learn more about a life with Christ. Now, the work in Central & Eastern Europe has developed significantly to include a fully equipped residential centre in Sutor, Romania, an office base in Budapest, Hungary, 8 staff and an annual reach of over 5000 people.
During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to meet the team, hear the story and serve alongside them as they make Jesus known.
Exodus has been sending teams to Romania for over 25 years. Partnering with churches, young people and families, the work has developed significantly over this time.
In 2011, Exodus' base in Romania was established in a small village called Sutor. Sutor is now home to Exodus staff Agoston and Hajni along with their daughter Sara. They work alongside a range of local churches, local pastor Alin Poptelecan, and the rest of the Exodus Central & Eastern Europe team.
The Sutor centre is a hub of local ministry, hosting groups throughout the summer and serving the local community through practical work and children's clubs. During the summer, the centre takes on an international flavour with groups from across Ireland, Hungary, Latvia and other parts of Romania staying to serve in local ministries.
The first Exodus team to Hungary went in 2013. Since then, our teams have been serving churches, ministries and families throughout the region. We now have a dedicated staff team, serving with Exodus across Central Eastern Europe, with a base in Budapest.
Exodus' main base in Hungary is where the team launch events are held, a small forest campsite called Freedom Springs. Hungary is home to Exodus staff Andras, Mary, Noemi, Sam and Milan.
