What can I expect as an Intern?

  • Opportunities to serve and lead within one of our centres geared towards your gifting and interests and working around your schedule.

    • Interns can volunteer 8-30 hours per week

What commitment do you need from me as an Intern?

  • Subscribe to the mission and ethos of Exodus as found here.
  • Volunteer time
    • 8-30 hours per week within an agreed role
    • Once you apply we will create the role and confirm your commitment
  • Fundraising
    • An internships costs Exodus £1150 for someone volunteering 12 hour per week.
    • Interns are asked to raise a minimum of £500 towards their role by 31st October, with Exodus covering the remainder.
 

How to Apply

1. Start an application form and select the best internship area for you.

2. The first application window closes on 16th May, with interviews taking place shortly after. There are a limited number of spaces available, and applicants are advised to apply by this deadline where possible to avoid disappointment.

3. Applications will remain open for unfilled positions until 22nd August 2026, with interviews taking place throughout the summer. 

 

What can I expect after I apply?

  1. Confirmation Email.
  2. A call from Exodus!
    • Within a week of the early application deadline (if submitted by 16 May) or of your application submission date (if submitted later)
    • To discuss your application and invite you to an informal interview (where applicable)
  3. Agreement of a role
    • Proposed by Exodus to work around your schedule and gifts.
  4. An invitation to 'Get-Set... Go!'
    • A one-day orientation and welcome to Exodus with other interns
    • Friday 29th August in Coleraine, 10am - 8pm
  5. A start date early in September
    • Agreed with a local line-manager 
  6. To build a plan to raise at least £500 of support.
    • By the 31st October.
