The Story So Far...
Across Maghera, Magherafelt and Cookstown, 5000+ young people attend secondary school each day. In the Autumn of 2024, we began to ask; could we do something bold and new to reach young people in this community?
Standing with local churches and schools is central to our approach, and so we set off by building our understanding of the area and connecting with local leaders and young people.
During this time we worked in 4 local schools, contributed to events in 10 churches, sent out first team to Romania and appointed Jordan Haffey as our Area Leader in December 2025.
Since Jordan's appointment, we've launched 3 more Exodus Teams with 30 leaders and young people involved, ran the DISCIPLES programme with 40 young people, launched a weekly Drop-in and ran the SOAR course with 80 pupils.
It's just the start, but we're dreaming big for what's next...
Way More Than A Warehouse
Exodus has been given an amazing opportunity to transform a warehouse in the centre of Magherafelt into an amazing youth centre; a place where young people find hope, build friendships and discover their God-given potential.
This £330,000 project is our most ambitious building and fundraising project ever, but after lots of planning, consultations, dreaming, support and prayer, we've become convinced that this project could unlock significant opportunity for youth ministry across Mid Ulster.
After raising an incredible £180,000 from some of our generous partners, we launched a public fundraising campaign in May 2026 and are pressing on towards our goal.
