SOAR

LEAD YOURSELF INTO WHAT’S NEXT

Introducing SOAR

What is SOAR?

SOAR is a 6-week programme designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to lead themselves in order that they might shape their own development and lead within their school, community and in time, their chosen career path. When young people lead themselves well they increasingly unlock their potential, maximise their gifting and contribute to society.

Overview of SOAR

SOAR is a six session leadership course for (Y11+) delivered by Exodus staff and volunteers in fun and creative ways that invite interaction so that pupils are engaged and learning is enjoyable. All 6 sessions are classroom based, workshop style lasting 35-55 mins.

SOAR is designed around the Learning for Life & Work syllabus meeting key elements from Key Stage 4, as well as 6th form personal development targets.

The sessions cover elements of self-leadership like Personal Values, Self-Awareness, Goal Setting, Sacrifice, Self-care and Courage.

Certification

Stranmillis University College will issue a certificate of completion to every pupil who finishes the programme.
