Ragland Immanuel, Štěpánka Zackova & Josiah Wright

Ragland, Josiah and Štěpánka are all missionary kids that have a heart for the nations.

Štěpánka is a software development student who loves travelling or going on an adventure. Štěpánka has been part of two Exodus Teams and multiple other missions in the past, but this is her first as a leader.

Ragland is a data analyst. He loves cooking, cycling and leading teams to share God’s love with other.

Josiah is an engineering student who is ready to take on any adventure, especially if it involves the ocean!
This is his second year of being involved with Exodus, but his first time as a co-worker.

The Course

Ex-change Teams are a chance for you to go deeper with God.

This course will teach you more about what it means to be a disciple as well as developing your understanding of prayer, worship and the Bible.

The Placement

Hungary // 11th - 21st July 2025

Welcome to Hungary!

You'll arrive at Budapest airport and be welcomed to Hungary by a member of the Exodus CEE Team.

All teams in Hungary kick-off with a launch. This a 48 hour experience that is often hosted at Freedom Springs; a historic off grid campsite. During this time you'll meet other Exodus teams, learn more about life in Hungary, learn from the Bible and go on some outdoor adventures!

After completing the launch programme, you'll be partnered with a local church and serve alongside a ministry leader. You'll stay with your host, typically in a home or church hall, and join their community for the week.

Teams typically lead kids clubs, undertake practical work or visit families in need.

Hungary teams are ideal for anyone who is adventurous, has a heart to serve others and isn't afraid to try something new!

Provided by Exodus Central Eastern Europe Team.

ACCOMMODATION

Dorm style rooms and shower facilities.

Day Planner

Day 1

Fly from Belfast to Budapest. Travel by minibus (1 hr) to your Launch Locations (for most teams, this will be Freedom Springs).

Day 2-3

Throw yourself into an action packed Launch programme with other Exodus teams. Finish the launch and travel to your placement.

Day 4-10

Stay with and serve alongside your host through children's, youth and practical ministry.

Day 11

Say goodbye and travel home.

The Host

Hungary

Exodus partners with a range of ministry partners and hosts from across Hungary and into Slovakia.

Teams typically join a ministry leader for a week of children's and youth ministry, practical work and community service. Hungary teams are full of opportunities to make a difference, build friendships, explore a beautiful country and learn about a new culture.

Exodus has over 15 ministry partners within Hungary and details of your exact location and host will be released later on.

Story & Staff

The first Exodus team to Hungary went in 2013. Since then, our teams have been serving churches, ministries and families throughout the region. We now have a dedicated staff team, serving with Exodus across Central Eastern Europe, with a base in Budapest.
