If she’s not coaching sport, you’ll likely find her enjoying the beaches in her beautiful home county, or drinking hot chocolate (her go to drink). Kirsty has been a part of many Exodus teams in the past, which have helped her grow in her love for the Lord and enthusiasm for serving Him. She hopes you’ll join her on team 59 for an unforgettable adventure this summer!

Welcome to Moldova!

Welcome to Moldova!

You'll arrive at Chisinău International airport, where you'll be greeted by your hosts and travel two hours together to the Biseriсa Lumina Lumii Church (translated as The Light of the World Church) in Bălți, Moldova.

You'll join with another Exodus team for two days and get stuck into the launch programme: a programme packed full of fun, team building, learning about Moldovan culture with a visit to the city centre, ministry preparation, and exploring the Bible together.

After completing the launch programme, you'll partner with the Biseriсa Lumina Lumii Church, serving alongside Pastor Anatol and his team. You'll stay at the church in their dorm room style accommodation and join their community for the week.

Your team will typically lead kids clubs in the neighbouring villages, undertake practical work and visit families in need.

This time is perfect if you love to embrace adventure, serve others and immerse yourself in a new culture.

Practicalities

TRANSPORT

Local transport will be provided by members of the Church.

ACCOMMODATION

The team will stay in the Church which has shower facilities and dorm rooms with bunk beds.

Day Planner

Day 1

Board your bus and travel to Dublin Airport before your flight to Chișinău. Travel with your hosts by minibus/cars (2 hr) to Balti.

Day 2-3

Throw yourself into an action packed Launch programme with another Exodus team. Finish the Launch programme and get ready to begin your placement.

Day 4-10

Serve alongside your host through children's, youth and practical ministry.

Day 11

Say goodbye and travel home.

The Host

Lumina Lumii Church (Light of the World Church)

Lumina Lumii Church (Light of the World Church) is a pentecostal church in Balti, Moldova. The community there are committed to worshipping God and making him known in their surrounding area.

Story & Staff

The church have hosted many Exodus teams in the past with great success. The community are committed to reaching out and serving those in their local community. In particular, the team will serve through kids clubs, youth programmes and practical work.

Location

Balti is the second largest city in Moldova, sometimes called the Northern Capital.
