Ricardo is Chilean and also a full-time intern at the Church of Ireland, involved in various ministries in the local church, mainly with children, youth, and Bible teaching. He is passionate about mission and discipleship for the next generation. He loves all kinds of sports, good books, and anime. And don’t forget the coffee!

Lucy is 21 years old and is in third year of university at Stranmillis studying to be a primary school teacher. Lucy love sport and has grown up playing football. She is super excited to grow together, exploring faith as a team and share the love of Jesus through football in Ballysillan this Summer!

WHAT'S THE CRAIC
The Blue Houses, Ballysillan YFC
All Irish/UK adventures begin at our residential centre on the North Coast. Here, an energetic bunch of volunteers will lead you through your launch programme; two days packed full of team building, faith exploration and hopefully squeezing in a trip to The Lake, Kilrea.
On the 13th July, after your launch, you will travel to north Belfast.
Situated in the heart of Ballysillan since 1993, Ballysillan YFC "Blue Houses" has been dedicated to walking beside young people from all backgrounds, helping them reach their full potential.
This team is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who enjoys sport and loves playing football!
Story & Staff
Each year, the Blue Houses Team, led by Pete Thompson, run a football camp for local children and young people. This summer, the Exodus Team will be going along to help with coaching and activities throughout the week.
The Blue Houses is a centre connected with the wider organisation of Youth For Christ NI. They help young people find Jesus, follow Jesus and integrate into his family. They do this primarily through drop-in centres but priorities partnerships with communities and churches and act as soft entry points for young people to connect with churches.
The Youth for Christ Team at Blue Houses have hosted Exodus teams for several years and the reviews from teams have always been extremely positive of their experience.
There will be time for you as a team to ask questions about the Christian faith along the way from your Exodus team leaders and the staff at the Blue Houses.
Ex-plore Teams allow you to find out more about the Bible and have a lot of fun doing it.
