Banbridge DISCIPLES 2026/27 kicked off on Monday 21st September, with a night full of celebration, fun, connection and digging into Philippians 1 - and it could not have been more different to our launch night a year previous!
On Monday 6th October 2025 there were 18 young people at the 2025/26 Banbridge DISCIPLES Launch night and having started my role as Area Leader in the Summer of 2025 this was the first time I met many of these young people. Fast forward 12 months, to this year's Launch night and there were 40 young people in attendance!
This year DISCIPLES in Banbridge has doubled!!
For this we have to thank amazing young people who have invited their friends, incredible volunteer leaders who invite and give their time to create spaces where young people are welcomed, accepted and made to feel at home and most importantly a God who has shown incredible grace and favour to the work of Exodus in Banbridge! Praise Him!
This year at DISCIPLES we are taking a deep dive into the book of Philippians! Highlighting that as Christians our lives are part of a ‘Bigger Story’.
On night one we looked at Philippians 1:6 “he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” As we continue throughout the rest of this year can I ask that you pray this verse over not just young people in Exodus Banbridge but over the 512 young people who are part of DISCIPLES across this Island!
