The Bursary Expedition was a fundraising campaign with one clear aim connected to one big challenge. The challenge of summiting the Seven Sevens in the Mournes (every mountain over 700m). All while raising money for the bursary fund within Exodus, which helps ensure that money is never the reason why a young person can’t do an Exodus team.
The plan for the challenge was a two day expedition full of adventure and fun. Sadly, back in April, the group had to abandon the expedition at the end of day one due to wildfires in the Mournes, having completed 4 out of 7 peaks. But determined to finish the task, a group of the team finished the final 3 peaks on Saturday 28th June!
So far close to £5,000 has been raised! Each of the team members shared the vision of the expedition and the heart behind the bursary fund within their circles of family, friends and churches. We want to say thank you for the incredible support!
The money raised has been able to bless young people on teams this year and will be used by more young people in the years to come!
