Last year I watched as 7 pairs of fathers and their 11-14 year old took on the Legacy Award, a six-month journey of adventure and faith development. What I saw take place was inspiring…
I watched as young people realised they could trust their fathers voice,
I witnessed lightbulb moments when a father realised that his voice was more important than he knew in his young person’s life,
I experienced these fathers and their sons and daughters simply spending time together, in conversation and connecting with one another.
‘I’ve really enjoyed the chance to share the journey with my son, and all the intentional memories and conversations that the Legacy Award has given us the chance to have.’ 2025 Dad Participant (Chris)
I believe that this programme comes at the time when marking the milestone of childhood to adolescence is vital as part of seeing young people discipled in their relationship with Jesus.
The Legacy Award is full of character-shaping conversations, a compassion project that opens your eyes to the needs of others, and an overnight that builds courage within you that you didn't know you had.
‘In the midst of busyness and potential distraction of important things, to have intentional set aside time together as father and son, alongside facilitated conversations have been a real benefit to our relationship and its something we look forward to and enjoy.’ 2025 Dad Participant (Phil)
We have recently opened applications for the 2026 award running from January to June with a mix of evening gatherings, an overnight and a weekend,
So, if you’re a father who wants to invest…
With an 11–14-year-old who’s ready for adventure.
Then get ready for something real, something shared, something unforgettable…
Step into the Legacy Award this year.

‘I enjoyed dedicated time to spend with my Dad, the overnight has made me braver and more courageous. The workshops and conversations have been at the right level for my age and it's helping me find my place in God’s story.’ 2025 Young Person Participant (Olly)
