Exodus want young people to be able to seize the chance of adventure and discovery despite the uncertainty caused by COVID-19. We have therefore put the following things in place to help you Join a Team with Confidence and plan in hope for the summer!
COVID Insurance
Exodus Team members are covered by our travel insurance. This means that if you can’t travel due to a change in the restrictions or you test positive or are identified as a close contact we can refund everything you have paid over and above the initial £50 which covers the team preparation from February to June. |
Protocols in Place
Team meetings, residentials and placements will follow our most up to date protocols. These are written in light of the government legislation and guidance at the time.
Due to the wide variety of regulations around the world, the rapidly changing situation and the potential disruption that a positive COVID-19 test for team member would create for the whole team and our partners, we will require all team members of international teams to be vaccinated.
Flexibility where Possible
Should a partner or a region become unable to host a group we expect to be able to provide the team with an alternative placement either within the same region or in Ireland.
Low Financial Risk
Almost all personal contributions have remained at 2020 levels and costs are split between an initial deposit in February and full payment in May.
Other than £50 to cover all the preparation in the run up to the summer, any remaining money paid is fully refundable should the FCDO stop recommending travel, the team member tests positive for COVID-19 or is identified by track and trace as needing to isolate when the team is due to travel.
ATOL Protected
As Exodus Trust is an ATOL holder (ATOL reference 10999) our trips are all ATOL Protected.
The accommodation, transport and flights of the named traveller(s) on the ATOL certificate will be protected upon payment of deposit until the end of the trip.
In the event that Exodus Trust ceases trading the named traveller(s) will be entitled to a refund or to complete the trip and return to the U.K. Instructions on how to make a claim can be found at www.atol.org.uk
